Short version: KinAlert is a free, AI-powered second opinion. It can be wrong. Always check before you pay, and never rely on it alone.

Who we are

KinAlert is a trading name of Kyan Sukhram, a sole trader in Woking, Surrey. Contact: hello@kinalert.co.uk. By using this website or the scam checker you agree to these terms.

What the checker is, and isn't

• The checker uses AI to give an opinion on whether a message looks like a scam, with suggested next steps. It is not financial, legal or security advice, and it is not a guarantee.
• AI can be wrong in both directions: a scam can look safe and a genuine message can look suspicious. Before paying anyone or changing bank details, always check directly with the person or company on a phone number you already have. For your bank, call the number on your card or 159.
• If you think you've lost money, call your bank immediately and report it to Report Fraud (reportfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040).

Using it fairly

• Only paste messages you're entitled to share. Please don't paste passwords, full card numbers or other people's private details.
• Don't try to break, overload, copy or misuse the service (for example automated mass checks or trying to make it say harmful things). We may limit or block use that looks like abuse.
• The service is free and offered "as is". We may change, pause or stop it at any time.

KinAlert for Teams

Businesses taking part in the KinAlert for Teams pilot also have a written data processing agreement with us. If that agreement and these terms ever conflict, the agreement wins.

Our responsibility to you

• We work hard to make the checker accurate and safe, but because it is a free AI opinion, we are not responsible for any loss that results from relying on a verdict instead of checking directly, as far as the law allows.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
