Privacy notice

Short version: we only collect what we need, we never sell it, and the scam checker doesn't keep what you paste.

Who we are

KinAlert is run by Kyan Sukhram, a sole trader in Woking, Surrey. Contact: hello@kinalert.co.uk. For this website, that person is the "data controller".

The free scam checker

• What we collect: the message or screenshot you choose to check.
• What happens: it passes through our server (Cloudflare) to Anthropic's Claude AI, which judges it. The answer comes straight back to you.
• What we keep: nothing you pasted. We only count how many checks happen each day and the verdicts (for example "12 checks, 7 scams"), with no message content.
• Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse (a limit on checks per minute).
• Anthropic processes the content for us under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Please don't paste passwords, full card numbers or other people's private details.

The waitlist and contact forms

• What we collect: your first name and email, plus any answers you choose to give (who you'd protect, whether you'd pay, or your message and organisation on the business form).
• Why: to email you about KinAlert (for example when the family service launches) or to reply to you. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Who handles it: forms are sent by FormSubmit (USA) to our Gmail inbox (Google).
• How long: until you ask us to delete it, or 12 months after the family service launches or is closed, whichever comes first.

KinAlert for Teams (business pilot)

Pilot firms forward emails to check@kinalert.co.uk. Each email is processed by Cloudflare and checked by Anthropic's Claude AI, and a verdict is sent back. We don't store the email content. We keep monthly counts per firm (number of checks and verdicts) for billing and reporting.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which can see your IP address.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@kinalert.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
